An Indian Air Force AN-32 transport aircraft with 11 people on board crash landed on Saturday night at Chandigarh airport, but all on board are safe.
The pilot of the aircraft is safe; a Court of Inquiry will ascertain the cause of the crash.
On Sunday, in an operation called Bambi Bucket, the Indian Air Force flew a total of 64 shuttles, pouring over 1,95,500 litres of water to douse the raging forest fires, a defence spokesperson said.
